As a Senior Quantity Surveyor:  

    \n
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • \n

  • Solid understanding of contracts and relevant industry regulations.
  • \n

  • Experience in the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) industry is .
  • \n

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • \n

  • Proficient in cost estimation and financial analysis.
  • \n

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • \n

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n

  • RICS membership is desirable but not essential.
  • \n

  • Competent in using Microsoft Office and relevant project management software.
  • \n

  • Full UK/ROI driving license
  • \n


Senior Quantity Surveyor Skills:  

    \n
  • Oversee the commercial management of projects, including cost control, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
  • \n

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, manage procurement, and participate in tender processes.
  • \n

  • Work closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • \n

  • Identify commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while maximizing project profitability.
  • \n

  • Negotiate and review contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • \n

  • Monitor project financial performance and provide detailed reports to senior management.
  • \n

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • \n

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
  • \n

  • Ensure that projects achieve optimal commercial returns.
  • \n

  • Prepare and present accurate cost/value reconciliation reports.
  • \n

  • Manage interim valuations and agree on final accounts with subcontractors to optimize project margins.
  • \n

  • Ensure sub-contract orders are prepared following company procedures and contract requirements.
  • \n

  • Maintain strict control of accounts and minimize the cost impact of variations.
  • \n

  • Undertake additional duties as required by management.
  • \n


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least of £70,000 plus package.
