About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As part of a collaborative partnership between Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO, we are gearing up to deliver the most ambitious and innovative AMP 8 programme yet, which is the largest capital investment initiative we’ve ever undertaken. What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring commercial excellence for the integrated delivery team, providing support to both delivery management and on-site teams. Your role will involve managing costs, maximising value, and ensuring quality and safety are maintained across all projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures while also acting as the commercial conscience of the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of commercial and cost management for designated projects.
* Ensure accurate and timely cost management processes are undertaken, providing relevant data and analysis to inform commercial decisions.
* Collaborate with project team members to ensure full understanding of contractual arrangements and requirements.
* Work closely with the Delivery Team to identify and implement efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain proper financial records, including final accounts, to ensure they are readily available for audits and cost assurance.
About You:
To be considered for this position, you’ll have extensive experience in managing costs within the construction or civil engineering sectors. While a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, management, or cost discipline is beneficial, what matters most is your passion for the role and commitment to achieving success.
You’ll possess the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in cost management and commercial oversight of projects.
* Strong knowledge of cost management processes and the ability to produce accurate reports and data.
* Strong collaboration skills, working closely with project teams to meet and exceed client and partner requirements.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with governance procedures and compliance requirements.
