Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Consultancy based in Worcester, specialising in both domestic and commercial projects.



As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will manage the commercial aspects of various projects, oversee junior team members, and work closely with clients and contractors.



Key Responsibilities:



Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of domestic and commercial projects



Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation



Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and cost reporting



Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations



Provide accurate financial reports to clients and stakeholders



Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors



Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects



Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget



Skills & Experience:



Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field



Chartered status (MRICS) is highly desirable, though not essential



Significant experience in both domestic and commercial sectors



Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively



Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills



Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, CostX, etc.)
