About the opportunity:



We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will:



* Provide commercial leadership and guidance on projects to ensure cost-effective delivery within budget.



* Prepare and analyse cost reports, offering regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.



* Implement cost control and value management strategies.



* Prepare monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.



* Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.



* Manage cash flow effectively.



* Handle subcontractor payments.



* Offer expertise on contractual issues.



About the benefits and rewards:



The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £80k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.



About the requirements:



* Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card and extensive house building industry experience.



* Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of current market conditions, rates, and building regulations.



* Highly numerate and detail-oriented, skilled in budget preparation, valuations, and live cost control across all trades.



* Proficient in project management, payment, and valuation software; strong IT skills essential in a commercial environment.



* Methodical, organised, and conscientious with a focus on delivering high standards and cost efficiency.



* Excellent communicator with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally.



* Capable of working independently, showing initiative, ownership, and problem-solving skills, including dispute resolution.



* Thrives under pressure in fast-paced environments, team player with a supportive, collaborative approach
