We provide Services to the following companies: Costain, Balfour Beatty, BAM, Galliford Try, and Amey, together with various Tier 2 contractors and select Clients/Developers.\nAdditionally, Praeclarus has just won ‘Quantity Surveyors of the Year’ and came second in ‘Consultancy of the Year’ at the 2023 Building & Construction Awards.\nThe Role:\nWe are currently seeking several experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyors / Managing Quantity Surveyors to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure projects. As a Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPreparation and agreement of interim payment applications.\nAgreement and settlement of Final Accounts.\nIdentification of events and issuing notices for variations/compensation events.\nIdentification, evaluation, and agreement of variations/compensation events.\nIssuing of contractual notices and drafting of contractual communications.\nPreparing, evaluating, and submitting extension of time entitlements.\nProviding support on claims or problematic issues or projects.\nProviding support during formal disputes (i.e. Adjudication or Mediation).\nProcurement of sub-contractors.\nManagement of sub-contractors, variations, payment certificates, final account agreements.\nProducing accurate cost and value reconciliations and outturn financial reporting.\nManaging assistant/graduate commercial team members.\nYou…\nTo be successful as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Managing Quantity Surveyor you’ll need to have the following experience:\n * Tier 1 Contractor or large Tier 2 involved in Infrastructure activities\n * Experienced their own Project or worked closely with a Senior QS\n * 5 - 10 years post-graduate experience\n * Sound understanding of contractual terms (NEC) and/or other Contracts\n * Experience in preparing cost and value reconciliations and out-turn financial reporting\n * Experience in supply chain procurement\n * Experience in managing supply chain and Sub-Contractor accounts\n * Understanding or experience of the basic procedures and formalities of construction claims (i.e.
