Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Negotiable) + Car Allowance, Healthcare, Pension

About:

My client is a rapidly growing retail fit-out specialist, aiming to reach a £100m turnover by the end of the year. They work with major brands, including supermarkets and other high-street retailers, delivering fast-track retail projects across the UK. With an expanding commercial team, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join their Wakefield office.



The Role:

We’re looking for a self-sufficient SQS who can lead the commercial delivery of fast-track retail projects. You’ll be responsible for managing 2-3 projects at a time, typically valued between £300,000 - £500,000, with some smaller works included. The timeframe on projects is usually up to 16 weeks from initial conception to completion.



Key Responsibilities:



* Manage projects from start to finish, including schedule of rates



* Work independently to deliver fast-track retail projects



* Oversee commercial aspects and liaise with key stakeholders



* Report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor (MQS)



* Attend site visits as required (though this is a predominantly office-based role)



What We’re Looking For:



* Retail fit-out experience is ideal, but fast-track project experience is essential



* Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently



* Strong commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously



* Based locally or willing to be in the office 5 days a week (hybrid considered)
