Senior Scientist/Specialist for Biotherapeutic Discovery and Engineering

Your responsibilities: Proactively drive execution of display-based technologies, including yeast surface display (YSD) and the Adimab platform, for antibody and protein domain repertoire generation and characterization Contribute effectively to project teams by leveraging expertise in antibody/protein domain generation and design Share your work and data and take part in scientific discussions to support the advancement of research projects Participate in project innovation by providing input for new internal project proposals and taking part in evaluation of external in-licensing opportunities Actively engage in scientific global networks to build and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge within antibody and other protein scaffold drug format technologies Contribute with data to secure IPR and scientific articles when relevant Qualifications To excel in this role, we imagine you have: A Ph.D. in biological science/biotechnology or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research, similar industrial research or relevant academic setting Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience with antibody/protein/peptide yeast-based display technologies Experience with and interest in protein engineering and library design/building Further experience within the following areas is considered an advantage: Pharmaceutical industry Antibody and antibody domain generation in general including immunization, sequencing, cloning, and primary screening for binding and binning Bioinformatics for biotherapeutic discovery and engineering As a person, you practice an innovative approach to drug discovery and proactively engage with a positive attitude to new ideas and colleagues. You exhibit excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary matrix organization. About The Department The Recombinant Drug Discovery department is mastering forefront technologies for early discovery and engineering of recombinant biologics and tool antibodies across the entire portfolio. The department currently consists of 29 highly engaged scientists and technicians and is organized in two teams sharing office and lab space and dynamically working together across teams. The department belongs to the Recombinant Drug Research CVP area in Global Research Technologies and is situated outside Copenhagen in Måløv, Denmark.
