Senior Site Manager

Position Overview:\nWe are looking for a Senior Site Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects in the North East. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of projects, from inception to completion. This is a critical role where you will take full responsibility for managing on-site teams, liaising with subcontractors, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOversee all on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.\nLead and manage site teams, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and site operatives.\nEnsure all health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to and manage site safety audits.\nDevelop and maintain project programs, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.\nCoordinate with the project manager, client, and design team to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.\nManage site logistics, including deliveries, plant, and materials.\nConduct regular quality checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.\nMaintain site records, including daily reports, risk assessments, and method statements.\nIdentify and manage project risks and implement contingency plans as required.\nLead site meetings and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.\nMentor and support junior site managers and staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.Requirements:\n\nProven experience as a Senior Site Manager, ideally with a principal contractor.\nA background in managing construction projects, with a track record of successful delivery.\nSMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.\nCSCS card and First Aid at Work certification.\nStrong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety requirements.\nExcellent leadership and team management skills.\nStrong communication and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nA proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.What We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nOpportunity to lead significant projects within a reputable and growing company.\nSupport for continued professional development and career progression.\nA collaborative and forward-thinking work environment.\nThe chance to work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects.Randstad CPE values and promotes equality.
