Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineerthis role will be a part of a high performing team of talented SRE specialists who provide world-class support for Commercial Engineering. This team manages ongoing incident detection and resolution, change planning and implementation, and compliance for a portfolio of applications and infrastructure built on a variety of technologies such as Salesforce, Order Capture, Java,ASP.NET, Linux, Microsoft, relational databases, message queuing, AWS cloud services, and more. About the Role:In this opportunity as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer you will:Provide leadership and direction for a global technology team that operates across many Thomson Reuters applications. Deliver application support according to business expectations across the multiple Tax & accounting and Invoice product families and willing to work on call support if required.Partner with application development teams to deliver operational readiness for new and existing applications and features. Drive continual service improvement and innovation in productivity, software quality, and reliability, including meeting/exceeding SLAs. Responsible for debugging,monitoring and analysis ofapplication performance & Reliability.Effectively articulate complex problems, concepts, and solutions in escalation calls on P1 & P2 incidents.Contribute to the strategy of the department and drive implementation of department goals that support the company’s core values. Ensure documentation, processes, and procedures are updated regularly. Act as an escalation point for applications andits internal customers. Provide coaching and mentoring to junior SRE’s.Foster a continuous learning culture and a curiosity about emerging technologies. About You:You are a fit for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer if you have:8-12years of experience in software development and application L3 support exposure. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Computer Science or related technical degree preferred. Proven ability to set direction and inspire team members to engage and successfully deliver on Application Support SLA’s.Thorough understanding of ITIL and ADO processes related to incident management, problem management, application life cycle management, operational health management. Experience in supporting applications built on MVC application architecture ,ASP.NET and Libraries, HTML/CSS/JS, AJAX, AWS/Azure.Broad understanding of the .NET web technologies and SQL or PLSQL debugging & bug fixes on these technology stack.Analytical skills to understand business functionality relationship to code base and stored procedure in RDBMS.Past exposure to Tax & accounting or Invoice product support will be added advantage for this role.Ability to document bugs as ADO stories and familiar with git hub version control tools.Strong customer service, problem solving, technical andcommunication skill to manage triage calls with business users and incident managers.Strong IT Service Management and standards experience. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and motivated by complex technical and business challenges. ITIL Certification preferredTo apply, please upload your updated resume in English.
