Senior Software Engineer

Airswift is working with one of our major Oil and Gas clients to find a Cloud Native Full Stack Developer to join their team on a 2-year contract in Calgary.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Native Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and clarify requirements, transforming them into scalable and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing cloud-native solutions on Azure, proficiency in GoLang development and testing, and experience working in Agile and SCRUM methodologies. As a Cloud Native Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing both server-side services and web front-end components, ensuring they are elastically scalable, backward and forward compatible, and meet the highest standards of security and usability.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with subject matter experts to gather and clarify project requirements.
• Translate requirements and user stories into functional and scalable solutions.
• Develop server-side services that are elastically scalable and secure by design, ensuring backward and forward compatibility for seamless deployment.
• Create a web front end that is usable on multiple form factors, providing an optimal user experience.
• Ensure the entire solution is deployable, operable, and adheres to security best practices by default.
• Apply usability procedures and principles as defined at the project or Product Line level, incorporating customer input for enhanced user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience in developing cloud-native solutions on the Azure platform.
• Strong proficiency in GoLang development and testing.
• Experience working in Agile and SCRUM environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• In-depth knowledge of elastically scalable server-side services and web front-end development.
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-native development.
• Ability to turn requirements into robust and user-friendly functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver deployable, operable, and secure solutions.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
