Your Role

As a Senior Software Engineer / Delivery Lead, youll lead the technical delivery of client projects, collaborate across disciplines, and guide your team to meet sprint goals and project objectives. Youll also actively mentor team members and champion best practices to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions.

What Youll Do

Project Leadership

• Understand project scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
• Partner with the Client Strategist to develop and maintain project roadmaps and plans.
• Drive the team to deliver solutions that balance client outcomes and project success.
• Share key project knowledge to support onboarding and long-term success.

Team Leadership

• Lead by example, embodying Clockworks values of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration.
• Advocate Agile and Scrum principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Guide your team through challenges with proactive problem-solving and mentorship.
• Unblock team members, escalating risks or removing obstacles as needed.

Risk Management & Facilitation

• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
• Lead essential Agile rituals, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmapping sessions.
• Onboard and integrate new team members seamlessly into established workflows.

Client Management & Communication

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
• Lead productive client meetings and facilitate clear communication across stakeholders.
• Keep teams focused on delivering client outcomes while balancing profitability.

What Were Looking For

• Experience: 7+ years in software engineering and delivery leadership, with a proven track record in Agile teams.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in modern web or mobile development, with hands-on experience in CMS-based solutions (WordPress ).
• Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and resolving challenges constructively.
• Project Management: Ability to lead the delivery of complex digital projects while ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
• Communication: Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills to manage both team dynamics and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience with LAMP stack development.
• Familiarity with strategic consulting or working closely with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g., designers, strategists).
• Background in delivering human-centered, scalable solutions for diverse clients.

• This is a hybrid role. Candidates must live within commuting distance to the Clockwork office in Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota.
