SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER. Business: Group Data Technology Principal responsibilities Oversee and manage various cloud and on-premise analytical platforms for resilience monitoring and product roadmap Ensure compliance with HSBC IT processes, governance, and regulatory requirements Align internal resources in coordination with senior stakeholders and prioritize demands across departments Liaise with internal teams for resource management and collaborate with external vendors for onboarding, quality management, and ongoing partnership Work collaboratively with GB/GF representatives to improve engagement and drive tangible business-aligned improvements & benefits to ensure operationally that the process delivers business value Manage and present delivery updates during steering committee meetings Monitor and manage the overall department budget and expenses, ensuring efficient allocation of resources Foster a culture of integrity, adhering to all company policies and security processes Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in data and AI delivery management with proven track record Strong experience with various cloud and on-premise analytical platforms In-depth understanding of HSBC IT processes, governance, and regulatory requirements for data and AI governance Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders and steering committees Proven ability to manage resources effectively, both internally and externally Skilled in vendor collaboration, onboarding, and quality management Experience in budget, expense and headcount management for a department Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a startup mindset
