The Software Engineering Manager will lead, inspire, mentor and coach the agile delivery teams to ensure regular successful delivery of world-class software solutions and deliver on Diligent’s ambition to redefine the way organizations are governed.The ideal candidate will have proven history to lead high-performing teams and deliver customer value. You should have strong technical background, hands-on knowledge in different disciplines and great communication skills. You should be able to setup performance measures for your teams and for the people and make sure teams and individuals are able to achieve their goals. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is motivated, pro-active and takes pride in his or her work. Key Responsibilities:Strong leadership skills as well as excellent knowledge in most of technical capabilities related to the area.Able to direct the teams' activities, define and prioritize the technical roadmap of the team(s)Able to influence the engineering culture and practices across teams, works with self-confidence with stakeholders outside of own team as well.Able to manage more than one product/service with some assistance.Experienced mentor, able to hire and onboard new members to the team.Drive a coaching culture within the team and across teamsManage a team of engineers developing highly scalable, performant, easily maintainable & well-tested SaaS features.Nurture the culture of innovation, experimentation and fail fast.Evaluate engineering requirements and design proposals in a technical capacity, in collaboration with Product ManagementEvaluate and develop the technical performance of individual contributors within the team.Be in touch with the latest frameworks in the industry and be influential in all choices related to Diligent’s SaaS application stack. Required Experience/Skills:10 or more years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in leadership or managementFull-stack engineer with a proven track record of building and supporting SaaS based commercial productsAbility to enable autonomous teamsSelf-directed positive problem solverExcellent written and oral communicationsSuccessfully manage own workload, and take personal responsibility and ownership for delivery, behaviours, and self-improvementResourceful and fast learner of new technologies and methodsExperience building and using Rest web servicesExperience with AWS, Terraform is a plusContributions to open-source projects and involvement in local meetups are a plusYou are fluent in English and you are not afraid of working in an agile environment.Experience and knowledge of working in regulated environments such as SOX, ISO, etc. will be a plus.Experience in People Management, mentoring, coachingExcellent communication skillsWhat Diligent Offers You Creativity is ingrained in our culture.
