The Role
The role requires a forward-thinking Solar PV Consultant to join a growing team and help deliver turnkey solar energy solutions for their clients. This role bridges the technical and strategic — from design and feasibility to client advice and project integration.
Additionally, they are building upon their PV consultancy into a broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) offerings. The opportunity exists to provide holistic consultancy within the ESG sphere in supporting clients with net-zero goals, improving building performance, and contributing to meaningful environmental impact through renewable energy adoption.
Role Responsibilities and Requirements
Assisting in setting up a robust solar PV and solar storage service line
Designing solar PV and storage systems using in-house software tools
Delivering detailed solar viability assessments for residential and commercial projects
Attending and leading client meetings, providing expert advice and technical support
Evaluating cost, efficiency, and performance of solar solutions
Assessing Glint and Glare effects of installations using in-house and commercially available software solutions
Collaborating with the cost and project management teams to support turnkey delivery
Contributing to ESG consultancy development, focusing on PV/Energy and aligning solar recommendations with broader sustainability goals
Staying current with solar industry trends and innovations, driving continuous improvement
Key Skills and Qualities Needed
In-depth technical knowledge of photovoltaic systems and solar technologies
Awareness of the UK electricity market, grid requirements, and industry regulations
Proven ability to design, assess, and recommend solar energy systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including client presentations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Understanding of ESG frameworks and how solar energy can support sustainability reporting
Project management or consultancy background
Familiarity with solar PV software (e.g., Glint Solar, Forge Solar etc.)
A motivated and curious problem-solver with a passion for clean energy
