Senior Specialist Engineer (Civil)

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Specialist (Contract) to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role. #LI-Hybrid#LI-DC4 undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register or already registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC. + 15 years of experience in civil engineering design within mining, energy and/or industrial projects of varying stages from conceptual to detailed design. Solid experience in site development, and pipe and open channel hydraulics. Tailings / slurry piping design experience is an asset. Working knowledge of various piping materials, fittings and joining methods. Sound knowledge in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing the ditches, culverts, and ponds. Experience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs is an asset. Good understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controls. Excellent organizational, technical, communication and computer skills. Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required undefined
