JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR STRUCTURAL PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.) Hybrid
Position: SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Professional Engineer (P.E.) Hybrid Role
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Salary: Based on experience
Industry: Construction / Civil Engineering / Bridges
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days home

Specific Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Possess in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, criteria, and structural mechanics.
- Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc.
- Design temporary structures including, but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections.
- Coordinate with Project Managers/Engineers and Owners to resolve issues.
- Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals.
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
- Support the Project Manager with project log updates and maintenance.
- Assist with surveying calculations and plans.
- Implement new software (3D CAD, DatuBIM, etc.).
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Masters Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university (Masters Degree )..
- Must Have 10+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures and/or construction engineering is , but not required.
- PE licensure or ability to obtain it once experience/testing requirements are met.
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
