Senior Systems Engineer (various opportunities)  - RELOCATION TO ABU DHABI 



A fantastic opportunity to work with an AI-driven solutions client to optimize and enhance business processes.  They are looking to bring 3 new heads to the business:



Lead System Engineer (Storage & Backup)



Senior Systems Engineer (Storage & Backup)



Senior Systems Architect (Storage Solutions)



Location: Abu Dhabi - 5 days onsite 



Salary: £80,000 - £115,000 (up to 547,601 Dirham) depending on experience and level of position 



Role overview: 



Work closely with architecture and engineering teams to assess and choose storage and backup technologies.



Conduct capacity planning to accommodate current and future storage requirements.



Design and implement strategies to improve storage infrastructure reliability.



Optimize storage performance and resource utilization.



Collaborate with the IaaS operations team to enhance monitoring and observability.



Ensure storage systems are protected against cybersecurity risks.



Keep thorough and up-to-date documentation.



Skills required: 



Multiple years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale solutions.



Practical experience with Ceph, KVM, and Proxmox is highly beneficial.



Extensive hands-on experience with storage systems from top vendors such as HPE, Dell, and NetApp.



Expertise in Linux, Linux kernel, and RedHat environments.



Experience with object storage solutions and cloud- backup technologies.



Familiarity with clustered and parallel file systems, as well as containerization technologies.



Strong knowledge of backup systems, disaster recovery strategies, and data protection.



Understanding of CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.



Advanced programming and scripting skills in Python, Golang, or Bash.
