What will you be doing?

As a System Engineer, you will join Cheadle team to support our activities within the Defence sector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Tasks such as requirements development, system design, and verification and validation. The Systems Engineer will work closely with other engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to ensure that the system is designed and developed to meet the needs of the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain system requirements that are complete, consistent, and verifiable.
  • Design and develop system architectures and specifications that meet the system requirements.
  • Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure that the system meets the system requirements and is fit for purpose.
  • Work with other engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to develop and implement system solutions.
  • Manage and control the system development process.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest systems engineering technologies and best practices.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering (or related role in engineering sector)
  • Experience with the V-Cycle systems engineering process.
  • Experience with requirements development, system design, and verification and validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:

  • This position requires candidates to be a sole British national, and the ability to achieve security clearance due to the nature of the industry.
  • Able to travel to Cheadle 2-3 times a week minimum due to onsite presence required
