The North America Entertainmentteam serves as the conduit between of multiyear strategic development and parklevel execution as it relates to the overall Entertainment Businessobjectives. The Senior Technical Manager plays a primaryrole as planner, developer, creator and project manager of all technical componentswithin Pre-Production & Production processes. This includes but no limitedto providing conceptual ideation sketches/drawings, creating presentations, preliminarybudgeting, writing up FRP’s and milestone timelines, production planning, vendordevelopment and management, procurement, and at times serves as the boots onthe ground person simply helping as needed. This role secondly servesas a resource expert aiding park level teams with execution of the productionprocess handoff and serving as a technical support resource. You will be expected to create technologicalsynergies amongst (3) LEGOLAND Resorts and help to build technology strategiesin smart, effective and cost-effective ways.Whatyou’ll be doing...Drive the technical production process for new Entertainment development as defined within the multi-year North American strategy for Live Entertainment. Actively participate in key roles such as Technical Designer, Technical Director, Technical Producer, and Technical Planner during Creative and Production processes. Act as liaison for resource sharing in product, asset, and process applications.Consistently evaluate, audit, and identify opportunities of technical improvements within each LEGOLAND Park to aid in driving high quality entertainment and deliver on outstanding guest satisfaction. MainResponsibilities:Serves as project lead for all technical elements during the Conceptual, Pre-Production and Production phases of North American lead Entertainment initiatives Participate in 5-year North American Entertainment development strategy and Capital Project planning Serve on the production team working with outside North America partners such as the LEGO® Group and Global Merlin Internal Product Development Teams as it comes to additional Core or Consumer Entertainment innovation sessions. Utilizes skills, resources, and tools to provide informed estimating to key stake holders and manages all processes of information resourcing during the estimation process. Travel and participate in local brainstorm / creative and development sessions partnering with each department expert and provide support as a resource for problem solving and seek to synergize business areas for the most optimize operation. Prepare presentations for review with Executive LeadershipTake part in all Marketing insight meetings and post-mortem Entertainment reviews at both local and North American levels in order gain insight to the guest and department trends of successes and areas of opportunity for future revision or new product development. Project Manage and oversee new Product deployment at assigned park supervising internal and external teams to ensure the highest quality execution, on time and on budget.Actively plan and design scenic and technical concept renderings for theming, staging, and overall developed concepts for visual review, assist in technical budget planning, speck technical equipment to support offerings, negotiate and leverage volume buying sharing costs amongst all parks in centralized procurement and working directly on projects or oversee external partners. Working closely with the Senior Creative Manager, Create and develop all production schedule and tracking documents for all new aspects of technical implementation including theatre/event/stage spaces coordination of audio installation, lighting control, scenic design and construction, installation, programming and technical rehearsals as it pertains to the project. Serve as installer, programmer, designer, developer, and various roles as required to support local Entertainment teams. Lead the initiative of a resource share goal by2024 looking at special projects such as a central inventory resource sharing, synergizingpark equipment standards of lighting, audio, show control, and other technicalsupport systems, and additional to be learned from local and North American needs.Who we’re looking for...(5+) Years proven experience within the areas of technical planner, manager, operator, and direction budgeting, specking equipment, production schedules and on-site project management. (7+) Years of experience in Technical Show/Event Production for multiple projects in theme parks, cruise ships, or large-scale eventsExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with a detailed oriented style and strict deadlines.Must have familiarity with all production, technical, and operational aspects of show developmentMust have strong partnering, collaborative, and team results skills Ability to work within Vectorworks, CAD, Microsoft & Adobe software products. Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively drilling down high level vision into concept reviewTrusted leader that guides with integrity and fosters a professional work culture Successfully manage Production budgets including capital projects as assigned Proven evaluation & problem-solving skillsAbility to travel in the United States. Passport preferred with limited international travel.Ability to work days, nights, and over holidays to support Peak and Off-Peak Entertainment offerings across all Resort functions. Demonstrated initiative, communication and interpersonal skills; Confident and outgoing presence with the ability to professionally interact with various levels of team members and leadership.People:Managerand employees will have consistent communication and meetings with this role(i.e. schedules, payroll, and training). Promote and demonstrate LEGO’s and Merlin’s culture and core valuesthrough words and actions.
