• Role:

As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, you will lead projects utilizing a team of transmission line engineers and designers to provide design services for our utility clients.

• Responsibilities:

• Lead transmission line projects with a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.

• Perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, and concrete structures.

• Prepare construction specifications as required per project.

• Prepare material specifications.

• Oversee the development of construction drawings as required per project.

• Perform QA/QC reviews on PLS-CADD models and design packages.

• Perform site visits when necessary.

• Provide mentoring to junior team members.

• Assist with the preparation of proposals.

• Interface with clients engineering groups and project management teams to provide regular and timely updates.

• Provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested.

• Share knowledge and train incoming Transmission Line Engineers.

• Establish trust and healthy rapport with client and contract engineer firms.

• Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment.

• Ability to travel to office meetings and project locations (10-20% as an average)

• Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited university

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer

• PE License and NCEES Registration strongly
