Job SummaryAECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a Senior Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for wastewater treatment plant evaluation and design. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful wastewater practice in New England working on a diverse range of technically challenging wastewater projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Lead multi-discipline and complex wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.Actively participate in wastewater organizations like NEWEA and WEF through presentations at conferences and volunteering.At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.We believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. https://aecom.com/markets/water/Minimum RequirementsBS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 8+ years of related experience in wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systemsRegistered Professional Engineer. Demonstrated knowledge wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client/consultant relations experience.Willingness and ability to travel within New England.Preferred Qualifications12+ years of related experience in wastewater consulting and engineering management.Registered Professional Engineer licensed in one of the New England states and capable of obtaining a license in Massachusetts and Connecticut within 9 months of employment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and New England Water Environment Association.Proven ability to lead business development activities.Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.What we offerWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
