Service Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Operations Manager to lead and optimize our operations within the Transportation Insurance sector.

 

Bondar Insurance Group (BIG, Inc) knows that “good advice is your best insurance”. With a focus on solving our clients’ problems, we offer a unique approach. Our goal is to communicate the benefits of an insurance program rather than the features of an insurance policy. Our service teams are set up with Account Executive leadership, Account Management servicing, and technical assistance. Our approach is to provide our clients with a 365-day stewardship process that begins three months before the inception of the program and continues during the partnership. The overall goal is to establish a service delivery plan that is outcome-based and meets specific financial and operational goals.

 

This is a remote opportunity. Preference would be to be local to Dallas, TX or Oak Brook, IL. Must be comfortable working within the central time zone standard hours. 


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the transportation industry. This role is critical in ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Manage and supervise a team of commercial lines service representatives and support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the agency’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor staff, ensuring training on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and high client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and carrier partners.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while staying updated on trends and best practices.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance operations, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven leadership with strong team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with insurance software tools.
  • professional designations include CPCU, CIC, CRM, ARM, or TRIP.

Starting salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 with incentive bonus opportunities.
