What You Need to Know
Proserv's onshore Service Engineer is required to undertake all aspects of mechanical Engineering and provide support services of mechanical/ hydraulic surface and subsurface of control systems.
You will be able to identify equipment required to achieve work scope, assist with preparation of equipment for mobilization, monitor equipment movements/hirer durations and de-mobilize equipment at completion of work scope. Supervise the preparation of the necessary equipment required for site installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
What We Are Looking For
Liaise with internal departments to support client’s requests/requirements/issues
Identify and prioritize (in conjunction with service management) urgent client support requests, priority consumables/spares and equipment mobilizations versus ongoing workloads.
Liaise with clients to provide support for both technical and non-technical issues in relation to company products and third-party equipment supplied as part of company scope.
Ensure that the project scope is agreed by the client and is clearly defined and understood. Resolve client specification discrepancies with the relevant Engineers.
Assist with preparation of service personnel away from base packs, work packs and working instructions
Identify equipment required to achieve work scope, assist with preparation of equipment for mobilization, monitor equipment movements/hirer durations and de-mobilize equipment at completion of work scope.
Provide support to company service personnel whilst away from base
Assist with the preparation and provide close out reports to both external and internal clients.
Assist with the preparation and achievement of invoicing to meet annual revenue plans.
Identify additional service opportunities and communicate to service management. Assist with compiling and maintaining key customer database.
Co-ordinate the various interrelated processes of a project. Manage the implementation of all the activities described within the scope. Update on a regular basis and communicate any changes to key project personnel and clients.
Advise the Service Project Manager/Project Engineers of any potential areas of risk that could result in an overrun of material costs or man hours.
Focal point for controlling client owned equipment on AX12.
Assist with AX12 administration such as quotations, raising job numbers and maintenance orders.
Promote effective communication between the team members, internal departments, suppliers and clients.
Chase and expedite client quotations.
Chase opportunities and update the Service Project Manager or Account Manager.
Assist with travel and visas, if required.
Ensure that all project documentation has been produced in accordance with the agreed project SDRL.
Proactive component obsolescence management. Work with the technical team to come up with new solutions.
Record, file timesheets, expenses, work packs and any other paperwork that is required from the service team.
Attend service meetings with updates of current projects.
Assist with arranging shipping documentation including Dangerous Goods (shipping including PE forms, ATEX forms, PUWER, cargo summary, delivery tickets and doc packs).
Manage equipment/test kit - on/off hire and preparation for project.
Generate reporting for Service Project Manager/Project Engineers.
Part of the on-call rota.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Essential
Proficient in Microsoft packages.
Proven Track record in build and test of hydraulic production control systems.
Proven track record in managing projects.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to interface with internal/external Customers.
Ability to respond to demands of a high and varied workload.
Understand the operation and maintenance of mechanical hydraulic control systems.
Proven track record in mechanical/instrumentation installation control system manufacture and system testing/fault finding.
Proven track record in the manufacture and maintenance of hydraulic control and systems.
Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
Ability to work as part of the service team or unsupervised as required.
Organized with excellent co-ordination/prioritization skills.
Customer focused with a desire to provide customer/company satisfaction.
Flexible with a proactive approach.
Understanding of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to technically analyze and problem solve.
Delivery of service within Oil and Gas Industry.
