Scootaround is looking for a Service & Repair Technician to help execute the effective and efficient delivery of service and repair on mobility equipment provided by Scootaround located at our warehouse in Seattle, Washington State. This includes equipment located at any off-site locations also. Safety audits, quality control, training, documenting, effective communication are key elements of the position.

What you will do

  • Perform maintenance services for the Scootaround and WHILL equipment (Scooters, Wheelchairs, Powerchairs, Strollers and WHILL Devices).
  • Employ efficient methods of service & maintenance procedures.
  • Keep track of parts used during service activities and maintain logs of equipment serviced.
  • Perform periodic equipment and parts inventories and place parts orders.
  • Keep track of tools and be responsible for the care and custody of the tools used during performing the day-to-day maintenance routines.
  • Perform installation and maintenance services on new equipment.
  • Perform tasks utilizing various hand tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, and vans.
  • Assist on occasion with loading and unloading of mobility equipment from trucks and trailers.
  • Assist with pressure washing and detailing of mobility equipment.
  • Assist during the week with facilitating equipment orders (Delivery Driving).
  • Assist on occasion with warehouse clean-up and organization.
  • Communicate issues and results routinely to supervisors.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Comply with all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Track About (Asset Management System) protocols and requirements.
  • Provide excellent Internal and External Customer Service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.


Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • High school diploma or higher.
  • 2-5 years’ experience servicing or maintaining equipment.
  • Mechanically inclined and skillful in use of all types of tools, both machine, power tools and hand tools used in maintenance activities.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
  • Should have good physical conditioning and should be able to push, pull, lift, stack & stage and able to work in a fast-paced physical environment.
  • Limited computer knowledge and working with office management tools.
  • Flexible and able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Ability to travel on occasion and able to work outdoors.
  • Self-confidence, instinct and organized with a strong commitment to solve problems.
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a changing environment.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Able to work in a team environment and direct teams when required.
  • Good communication skills and attitude with customers.
