Spartan Truck is seeking an experienced Service Shop Supervisor to manage daily operations regarding service, repairs, and modification of refuse trucks. This role includes overseeing staff and equipment to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality service is maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following (other duties may be assigned):
Responsible for leading a small group of staff in diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and design aspects of refuse vehicles. The role requires maintaining high safety standards, ensuring operational efficiency, and approaching each task with a positive attitude, ready to tackle challenges with discipline and an open mind.
Monitor and enforce company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance while assisting and implementing solutions to optimize performance.
Competency:
Two (2) years of experiences in the service, maintenance, or other related disciplines.
- Technical expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to train and mentor team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Capable of creating cost and estimate reports by tracking labor and parts.
Working Conditions:
This is an Exempt level position working in a Manufacturing environment. Exposure to paint and other paint related products on a continuous basis. Proper safety equipment will be provided.
