Service Technician

Service Technician (electrical) | Humberside - HU3 2DR | Home Based | Full Time | £38,000-£40,000 per year depending on experience



Heat and Power Services are a company  and is a market-leading provider of maintenance services within the natural gas and biogas sectors with field engineering support.



This role is based in the Humberside / North East area.



For 25 years they have specialised in servicing natural gas CHPs and in the last 10 years they have diversified into new technologies within the renewable sector providing services to manufacturers of biogas upgrading and cleaning technologies. They offer our services on ancillary equipment such as Air/Gas Compressors, Motors, Pumps, Valves, Heat Exchangers and Electrics.

Uncapped overtime when available

22 days + Public Holidays. (Increases up to 26 days based on time served with the company)

Subsistence allowance for working from home

Are you the right person for the job?



ONC / HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar is advantageous

COMPEX 1-4 is advantageous and mechanical experience is desirable

A driving licence is essential for this role

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical technician or similar role

Electrical qualifications are

Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including wiring, motors, transformers, and control systems

Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Solid understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards

What will your role as a Field Service Technician (electro-mechanical) look like?



Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, including motors, generators, and control systems

Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems and equipment in industrial settings

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality

Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to carry out installations and repairs

Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop effective electrical solutions

Perform electrical inspections and tests to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements

Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance schedules.

You will join the on-call rota (1 in 4)

UK travel from time to time
