Service Technician

Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals to be Service Technicians with one of the oldest and largest distributors and servicers of mining and construction equipment in the Midwest. Position Details Title: Service Technician Location: Louisville, KY Shift: Monday - Friday, Generally Day Shift (8AM - 5:00PM) with some variation Compensation: $27-$35/hr. based on skills/experience Apprenticeship roles available at $21-$26/hr. Company truck and computer/tablet and Tool Package valued at $8,500 Benefits: Company offers an industry leading benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and insurance, FSA, wellness program, 401K match program, PTO, and multiple other fringe benefits. 6 month "in-house" training/certification program out of Louisville, KY or Cleveland, OH Travel: 25% (Regionally based supporting customer needs) Vaccine Requirement: No - Position Description: Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing issues and performing standard general repairs on drive-train components, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on company and/or customers' heavy equipment across shop and field settings while adhering to all safety regulations and contributing to a positive work environment. Requirements: - General knowledge, ability to diagnose, and capable of repairing of complex hydraulic, electrical, and drive-train systems - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to read, analyze and interrupt technical information from general hydraulic and electrical schematics - Technical school graduate or experience with Volvo construction equipment - Must possess and maintain acceptable safe driving record and pass DOT Medical Certification
