Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Position Overview:

Perform the shop and "occasional on site" service of customer equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform the shop and on-site service of customer equipment as directed by the Service Center Manager.
  • Log service calls and complete all associated service department paperwork, coordinate with the Service Administrator
  • Maintain all shop tools and equipment in a serviceable condition, report any discrepancies to the Service Center Manager
  • Maintain and outfit the Johnston, BradyPLUS service van and the Johnston repair shop in a professional, neat, organized, and serviceable condition.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and customer care-oriented manner in order to always maintain a positive relationship with all Johnston, BradyPLUS customers.
  • Perform equipment PM programs and customer training as directed by the Equipment Program Manager.
  • Maintain inventory sheets on equipment and accessories, coordinate with the Service Administrator with all inventory changes.
  • Prepare and present a weekly summary of all transactions and events for review with the Service Manager.
  • Assist customers with product knowledge of all equipment sold.
  • Research and resolve customer problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 3 Years of experience in technical repair and/or service .
  • A Driver's license in good standing.
  • Some knowledge of the following :
    • Mechanical Ability
    • Excellent Communication and Organization Skills
    • Ability to read instructions and diagrams.
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office, AMS and Salesforce Software
  • Must be client focused, positive, energetic and motivated.
  • Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships.
  • Able to manage high stress or busy periods while remaining focused, positive, and united.
  • Adapt at managing multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
  • Complex problem solving from a technical mechanical perspective.
  • Committed to continuing to expand knowledge and capabilities.
