Service Technician - Garage Doors & Garage Door Openers

The Service Technician is responsible for the service of existing/previously installed garage doors and garage door openers along with installation of garage door openers. The job requires that most of the day will be spent at customer job sites as well in a company vehicle in transit between jobs with work assignments dispatched from the office. Additional responsibilities include loading/unloading product, processing of service paperwork as well as participation in the overall operation of the company. All required power tools and hand tools are the responsibility of the employee.

Job Functions / Competencies / Conditions

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a standard background check
• Must be able to read and write legibly and communicate in English
• Must have basic arithmetic skills to complete addition and subtraction
• Ability to use and communicate via telephone
• Willing to have flexibility in work schedule
• Working outdoors during all seasons of the year
• Ability to use power tools (impact, drill, etc) and hand tools
• Ability to climb and work off of a stepladder
• Daily loading and unloading of product with the ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Daily processing of installation/service paperwork
• Have and maintain a professional appearance
• Willingness to contribute to the efficient and profitable operation of the business
• Address situations with respect and control emotions in stressful situations
• Maintain a positive attitude with respect to all company employees
