Job Summary:
Diagnose, quote, plan and perform repairs on restaurant equipment, both at customer locations and in-shop repairs at Chef Link.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Commercial Restaurant Equipment
-
Troubleshoot the cause of equipment failure (Specific for Gas, Electrical, Refrigeration, and Plumbing systems)

Ensure that all diagnostics are run, such as amp draws, air/gas flows, pressure verification, etc. (See systems troubleshooting guide).

Verify all diagnostics with equipment specifications and repair resources prior to performing service.

Verify failures at the component level to determine specific parts needed.

Prepare a repair plan which identifies parts, consumables, and equipment required to perform service in the safest and most efficient manner.

Verify and test the work performed.

Accurately quote all labor hours, replacement parts, and consumables required to perform service.

Obtain all parts and materials needed to perform service.
-
Perform pre-repair planning to ensure all hazardous conditions and risks are removed from the work area.

Provide excellent customer service.
-
Represent Chef Link in the community.

Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as time sheets and work orders.

Maintain tools and vehicles.

EPA certification
Physical Demands:

Able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted

Able to work from heights, ladders, and lifts

Able to work in confined spaces.

Able to squat, bend and crouch while working.

Lift, push, pull, hold, or carry frequently.

Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
