Job Summary: This technician position will primarily calibrate, repair, and install Optical Comparators and Vision Systems at our customer’s facilities. The position will also include calibration and repair services on other measurement-based equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Maintains constant and clear communication with customers and fellow associates

● Must perform repair, installations, and calibrations unsupervised

● Consistently maintain good work attendance and productive work ethic

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

● 5+ years experience in Optical Measuring equipment but not required

● Must have a mechanical and electrical background

● Experience in industrial machine repair and diagnosis

● Good written and verbal communication skills mandatory

● Computer competent with standard software packages including MS Word, Excel

● Must be able to multitask, have a sense of urgency and great organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have a strong work ethic

● Performance driven and customer focused

● Some overnights required as needed

● Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history

Physical and Mental Requirements:

● The ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

● Ability to speak, write, and utilize a PC effectively.

● The ability to drive up to 8 hours at a time

● The ability to travel via plane as needed

● The ability to navigate in an industrial environment

● Must be able to walk, talk, hear, sit, stand, use hands repetitively

● Must be able to work from the ground and work in tight spaces

● Must be able to stoop and bend below knee level 1 – 2 times an hour

● Lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls less than 50 pounds but greater than 25 pounds occasionally

● Reaches out and overhead

Skill Set Required:

● Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Competency

● Clear Verbal and written communication skills

● The ability to think creatively, take initiative, multitask and manage projects under pressure

● Excellent time management skills and personal responsibility are a MUST

● Self-motivated, driven, and resilient
