Set-up-man/Extruder Machine Operator (Plastic Manufacturing)

MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING A ROTATING SHIFT

ALL SHIFTS ROTATE EVER 8 WEEKS

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 DOE

Location: City of Industry, CA

Temp-to-Hire Position

Responsibilities:

• Prepares inks
• Mixes solvents/ammonia
• Cleans trays
• Maintains a clean work area
• Monitors the machines constantly to make sure it has the ink needed
• Assists in mounting new orders on the extruder machines
• Ensures chemicals are ready day to day, labels and keeps them closed
• Makes changes on machines quickly and accordingly to the supervisor's instructions

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in the flexible packaging industry as a Pressman for Extrustion Department
• Physically capable of performing job duties, using arms, hands and fingers
• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs or more
• Detail-oriented
• Capable of working with limited supervision
• Be able to follow instructions exactly as indicated by the supervisor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to see and differentiate colors
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
