CS 31745\n\nShift Mechanical Technician - Power Facility - 4 on 4 off days and nights\n\nMilton Keynes\n\n£50,000 - £56,000\n\nAlecto Recruitment is looking to speak to Mechanical Technicians with a background in the power industry interested in working for an EFW power station in the Milton Keynes area.\n\nProviding a key role within the maintenance department you will provide leadership and mentorship to the rest of the mechanical team and contribute to the ongoing engineering maintenance routine.\n\nThis is a role is a 4 on 4 off shift position (4 days on, 4 days off - 2 days and 2 nights), offering plenty of earning potential in addition to career development.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\nPreventative and reactive mechanical maintenance to all mechanical plant including waste processing and power equipment: - steam turbines, CHP, pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.\nOversee contractors, write risk assessments and method statements.\nUse of Siemens PCS7 & SCADA operating systems & CMMS.\nSupport outages from planning to management and coordination.\nTroubleshoot and repair all mechanical faults.Applicant Profile\n\nIdeally experience working with machinery from one of the following categories:\nSteam valve overhaul/maintenance\nSteam turbines\nHydraulic system overhaul/maintenance\nCHP gas engines\nRelevant technical engineering qualification - minimum apprentice trained / Level 3 C&G/NVQ, ideally HNC or HND.\nMechanical experience working in power or heavy engineering - example environments/settings include: - refineries, power stations, anaerobic digestion facilities, landfill gas facilities, etc.\nEngineers with a background in the Royal Navy carrying out mechanical maintenance tasks.To apply for this position or enquire for further details please send your CV or call (phone number removed) ext 202.\n\nINDW
