Labor Finders in Birmingham is looking to hire an experienced SHOP / SERVICE TECHNICIAN to work for an area company that has an immediate and long-term, full-time opportunity.

• Position: Shop / Service Technician
• Pay: $19-$22/Hour
• Location: Birmingham, AL
• Hours: 7am-5pm (30 Minute Lunch)
• Days: Monday - Friday

Job Summary:

Will make minor repairs on various sized equipment (such as removing radiators, changing fuel pumps, alternators, starters and belts, and standard maintenance of equipment). Servicing of equipment (oil changes / fueling equipment / upkeep / cleaning).

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Fueling equipment
• Oil /filter changes on equipment
• Troubleshooting equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing equipment (both in the shop and in the field).

Skills / Experience Required:

• Very fast paced and rigorous work environment, must be able to adapt to changes throughout the day.

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of .
• Previous mechanic , handyman, HVAC, maintenance, service technician or other related work experience that requires the same skills is desired.
• Pre-assignment criminal background screen.
• Pre-assignment drug screening (PLUS will be subject to random testing during the duration of employment for this position / company).
• Valid driver's license & good driving record.
• Ability to work 10 hours Shifts Monday - Friday.
• Ability to work some OT and weekends, as needed.
• Must have own hand tools, wrenches, hammer, socket sets, adjustable wrenches, etc.
• Additional screening and/or requirements may apply.
