What we're looking for
A Software Engineer with a few years of experience with an interest in exploring the world of embedded analytics (EA) and Computer-Aided Design of electronic systems. Our system-wide silicon monitoring, bring-up and debug infrastructure helps silicon engineering teams ensure their products do what they were designed to do, safely and securely, from day one of launch. You will be working in a team that
develops software and AI/ML solutions to harness the data from the embedded monitors to debug and optimize system performance, detect anomalies, and provide actionable insights to system operators.
You should be able to work
across hardware-software boundaries and interface with hardware engineers and
data scientists to enable the deployment of AI/ML tools on the data captured
from the silicon monitors. A degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer
Science & Engineering that provides foundational knowledge will be helpful.
What you'll be doing
Developing software to configure and assemble the Embedded Analytics monitors to gather debug data or performance metrics, silicon health, security markers, and more. This involves the development of User Interfaces with TCL/Tk, Qt, Javascript, and other GUI development skills. The user input will guide the flow of EDA software to embed the silicon monitors in the SoC. It may also involve using
generative AI techniques for knowledge extraction and representation to orchestrate the data analytics.
What you'll bring
- C and C++ and objected oriented programming skills
- Scripting and extension languages such as TCL or Python
- Knowledge of ASIC or IP design flows
- Computer-Aided Design / Electronic Design Automation Software skills
- Graphical and command line user interface development
- Working knowledge of markup languages such as XML/YAML
- Use of software management and CI tools such as Jenkins CI or Gitlab CI systems
Nice to have
- AI/ML tools and packages (TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn,ChatGPT etc.)
- Understanding of FPGA hardware, Jenkins CI and Docker
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Experience in automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications (e.g., Kubernetes)
