Site Director, North America (Automotive Electronics)

Mandarin speaking required!! Our client is a listed company in Taiwan that provides design & manufacturing services in IoT, Automotive Electronics Solutions, and Energy Management Solutions. To serve its clients in North America, the company is building a highly automated manufacturing site in Dallas TX and is looking for a Sr. Director of MFG Operations to lead the new site. This role will work in Taiwan for a few months and then move to Dallas. Roles & Responsibilities: • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the Dallas manufacturing site that involve the manufacturing, engineering, quality, & deliveries. • Work closely with senior business leaders and various functional heads to achieve the business/operations goals and targets. • Implement the best practice of Manufacturing/Engineering Process, Quality System, and Cost review. Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement on Cost, Delivery, & Quality. • Develop and execute the site’s annual budgets, capital plans and cost out plans. Implement efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. • Client interfacing; Responsible for all aspects of the site’s business/P&L and operational performance while building up the capabilities of the organization. • Undertake various critical assignments that are related to improving the operations efficiencies and driving the manufacturing excellence within the organization. • May need to spend a couple of months in Taiwan to learn the required knowledge about the products, process, & procedures, and then implement them to the new site in Dallas. Search Criteria: · 10+ years of combined experiences in the functions of production, engineering, quality, and manufacturing site management. · Experience of managing local employees/staff in North America is a must. · Preferred industry backgrounds: (automotive) electronics design & manufacturing. Automotive electronics is a high advantage as this site is for EV clients/applications. · Proven track records of successfully improving the operational efficiencies, engineering quality, business growth, and/or cost savings. · Down-to-earth and entrepreneur mindset. Willing to start from scratch, roll up his/her sleeves, and grow with the company . · Degrees in “engineering” related studies will be a plus.
