Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Site Electrical Engineer for A new world-leading consumer health company with a global portfolio of category-leading brands - including Sensodyne, Panadol, Advil, Voltaren, Theraflu, Otrivin, and Centrum.

Job Role: Site Electrical Engineer

Location: Maidenhead - Hybrid potential but will be on site 3 days a week minimum.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

As a Site Electrical Engineer your remit will include:

You will be responsible for supporting the safety, compliance and performance of electrical systems and infrastructure. This includes design, maintenance, and operation, whilst conforming to Statutory and Corporate health and safety standards. You will focus specifically on electrical infrastructure, providing expert knowledge in the fields of electrical power, infrastructure, and distribution.

This position will provide a great opportunity to develop knowledge and gain experience in manufacturing infrastructure, with a focus on HV/LV. There will be support provided towards relevant qualifications for the right candidate.

This role is primarily responsible for the infrastructure of the site, meaning that we are looking for candidates with that experience (including from other industries such as construction or Facilities Management), as opposed to specific experience of manufacturing lines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a robust electrical safety management program for the site.
• Leading the site Utilities electrical maintenance programme.
• Participating in the companies global Electrical Engineering network.
• Providing expert services in the field of electrical power, distribution, and electrical safety.
• Management of minor works for safety, efficiency and cost saving projects.
• Assisting with the selection of contractors and suppliers, to ensure that goods and services meet company standards and the sites performance objectives.
• Managing and overseeing high voltage switching operations on site.
• Advising on the application of best practice techniques to improve electrical performance.
• Contributing to the development and delivery of electrical safety training programmes for the site.
• Leading electrical infrastructure lifecycle and investment strategy.
• Developing and implementing electrical policy and procedures, covering intervention with electrical systems by engineering staff (Internal and contractors).
• Working collaboratively with project engineers to assure appropriate electrical standards are included in packaged equipment specifications.
• Maintaining electrical system documentation such as drawings and asset records, including SAP maintenance records.

Requirements (Essential):

• Required Qualifications and experience:
• Minimum HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Experience of Electrical Infrastructure
• Demonstrated excellent decision-making skills
• Demonstrated Project Leadership experience
• Understanding of electrical maintenance techniques and their relevance to asset performance

Requirements (Desirable):

• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• Hands on experience of continuous improvement projects
• Understanding of selection and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas
