Location: Reading City Centre (Large Commercial Site)

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday (Week 1: 7am - 4pm | Week 2: 10am - 7pm, alternating weeks)

Call-Out Rota: Yes



About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and qualified Site Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Biased) to join our team at a newly developed large commercial site in Reading City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a brand-new environment within a close-knit, supportive team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical and general systems across the site.



This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, with a rotating shift pattern and participation in an on-call rota.



Key Responsibilities:



* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure.



* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for the facility.



* Work collaboratively with the on-site maintenance team to address general building maintenance issues as needed.



* Carry out small installation works and upgrades where required.



* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.



* Maintain accurate records of work completed and any relevant reporting.



* Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when necessary.



Requirements



* Level 3 Mechanical Qualification (essential).



* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment.



* Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.



* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.



* Ability to work well within a small team and independently.



* Excellent communication skills.



* Full understanding of health and safety protocols.



* Flexibility to work alternating shift patterns and participate in the call-out rota.
