The Company\n\nOur client is a skilled civil subcontractor who holds over 15 years of experience within the construction industry, they have an extensive amount of experience dealing with various developments, however withhold specialties operating in groundworks, drainage and hard landscaping. They operate in various places around the UK and hold an impressive track record of delivering projects up to standard in a safely manor.\n\nThe Project \n\nAs an experienced Site Manager, you will manage a team of tradesmen completing the externals and landscaping packages on a new industrial facility situated in West Yorkshire. You will supervise daily operations and ensure the works are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.\n\nRequirements \n\nFor this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;\n\nSMSTS\nCSCS Card\nFirst Aid - Desirable not essentialIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;\n\nStrong history of working with leading construction contractors or subcontractors\nPrevious experience of managing externals, landscaping and groundworks packages\nExtensive experience within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working as a Site Manager, withholding an engineering and / or a groundswork sub-contractor backgroundAdditional skills;\n\nSuperb negotiation abilities\nCompetent IT / software skills\nExtensive Health and Safety knowledge\nEffective communication skills, verbal and written\nAbility to organise and manage project schedules\nA solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards\nProven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively\nIn-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes\nExceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specificationsThe Role\n\nJob Title: Site Manager\nJob Type: Freelance\nProject: Externals and landscaping packages on a new industrial facility in West Yorkshire\nLocation: West Yorkshire\nDuration: 3 months\nReporting to: Contracts ManagerDuties\n\nSite safety inductions\nLiaise with external stakeholders\nConduct and attend routine site meetings\nReport and work closely with the Contracts Manager\nAddress any problems or disputes that arise throughout\nOversee package expenses, maintaining alignment with the budget\nComply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operations\nRecognise possible threats to the works, implementing strategies to address them\nCoordinate and manage daily site activities, overseeing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers\nManaging resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively\nServe as the principal contact between the project team, clients, and stakeholders, delivering regular updates on project progress\nMaintaining precise records of all project elements, such as contracts, permits, change orders, and communications\nEnhance and maintain positive client relationships by resolving concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with project developments \n\nThis is a freelance position with a competitive rate on offer for the successful candidate.
