Site Manager\n\nRefurbishment, Extensions, Cut & Carve\n\nNorth Yorkshire\n\n£55,000 - £65,000 + Car / £5,500 Car Allowance + Private Healthcare + Bonus + 6% Pension (increases 1% every 3 years) + Phone/Laptop + 26 days holiday (increases 1 day every 3 years)\n\nThis is an opportunity to join a business that is part of a £1bn group. For nearly 30 years this business has created a reputation in the fit-out sector. Over the past 8 years they have now created a major projects division that focuses on projects valued £2m - £15m new-builds and cut & carves. Sectors include retail, education, leisure, hospitality, healthcare, offices.

\n\nCurrently turnover is at £90m and you would be instrumental in growing this. Particularly with a focus on the new-build element. \n\nThe Role\n\nNew-build £9m school on behalf of the Department for Education in North Yorkshire.

Continuation of work will be nationwide after this project. \n\nAs a site-based Project Manager focused on construction, your role is integral in collaborating with the end client to bring your project to life. You act as the liaison between the construction company and the local authority, taking charge of the entire project lifecycle.

Your tasks range from negotiating contracts and planning the project to managing budgets, assessing risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your adept coordination with stakeholders guarantees that school construction projects are timely, cost-effective, and aligned with the client's safety and functionality standards. By leveraging your expertise, you contribute to the creation of modern educational spaces that empower both students and educators, leaving a lasting impact.\n\nGeneral duties will include:\n\nAttend project tender interviews\nProduce tender documentation such as tender programmes and method statements\nReview and comment on Contract documentation\nProduce project protocol documentation\nArrange and chair internal project kick off meetings ensuring all aspects of the business are briefed on the details of the project\nProduction of Construction Phase Plan\nArrange and chair subcontractor and client meetings\nRecord meeting minutes\nBriefing of CAD and production teams to ensure drawings are produced to specification and budget\nReview and approval of all drawings to ensure accuracy before issuing to client team\nManage the project commercials on a daily basis\nAssessment of sub contractor packages and negotiating, ensuring best possible commercial and programme packages are achieved\nDevelopment of project programme from tender programme to fully functioning project programme\nCompile and issue Sub-Contract order documents\nSet up and manage the project cost / value reporting document (CVR)\nIdentify and maximise cost changes throughout the contract\nExtension of Time (EOT) claims\nValue subcontractor applications and produce / issue payment certificates\nProduce / issue project valuations\nAgree variation costs with both clients and subcontractors\nAgree final accounts with both clients and subcontractors\nAbility to lead a project team throughout the course of the contract\nSourcing of a Site Management team for relevant projectsSourcing of a site team for relevant projects\nRegular site visits to assess progress and liaise closely with site team\nProduction of O&M manuals
