Our client is a is a well-established civil Engineering contractor with 15 years in the industry. They work as a subcontractor on major projects and are have an excellent reputation.
The Project and the Role
As a highly experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in the civils phase of a new build industrial development in Scarborough. Your responsibilities will include working through the construction of the concrete roads, car park and drainage work. The role will see you working through paperwork on site, heavily relying on computer and tablet work. The role would include many site meetings and working closely with the management team.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTS
First Aid
Valid CSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Proven industry expertise with a track record of successfully managing civils projects
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working on civils projects
Experience working with RAMS, site documentation, using site tablets for QA and being involved in site meetingsAdditional skills;
Quality control
Strong mechanical knowledge
Impressive leadership and mentoring abilities
Capacity to prioritise health and safety effectively
Good knowledge of construction laws and regulations
A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to finishing tasks
In depth understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, and plumbing
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a thorough meticulous eye for detailThe Role
