Clerkenwell Health is an innovative and leading Research Organisation specialising in the delivery of scientifically grounded Clinical Trials using its collaborative Contract Research Organisation (CRO), extensive Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Network, and leading Therapy Development Program. Clerkenwell Heath specialises in the supporting the Mental Health and CNS (Central Nervous System) space with a focus on Psychedelic drug development.
The Role
The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Clinical Research Facility and the management of the Nursing and Operational Team within that facility. If you are interested in joining a dynamic & growing team then carry on reading ⬇️
What will the Role entail?
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership on Business Development to support the Clinical Research Facilities (CRF) goals
- Provide leadership and support for CRF operational staff at all levels
- Oversee recruitment, development, and management of CRF staff
- Stay updated on best practices in team management and ensure staff cohesion and effectiveness
- Contribute to the development of CRF training programs as needed
- Manage budgets and financial aspects in collaboration with the Commercial Director and others
- Advise on financial and contractual project management with the Senior Leadership Team
- Manage vendor selection and oversee vendor performance, escalating issues when necessary
- Ensure the commercial success of clinical trials by managing participant recruitment and retention
- Conduct and oversee clinical trial procedures and regulatory document maintenance
- Ensure communication with sponsors, regulators, and vendors for protocol compliance
- Obtain informed consent and support participants in understanding study requirements
- Manage adverse event reporting and ensure all protocol amendments are followed
- Contribute to trial setup and assessment of regulatory, safety, and logistical requirements
- Manage CRF resources, including staffing, equipment maintenance, and administrative support
What will you need to succeed?
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Formal training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Extensive relevant experience in operational management whether in a clinic, research facility or similar
- Substantial financial budget experience
- Previous Line Management experience
- Be able to be based on site 5 days a week (could have flexibility to 4 days for the right individual)
Interview Process
There will be an initial screening call with the recruiter, followed by a 2 stage process with the final stage being an interview on site.
