Job Description And ResponsibilitiesThis is a professional level position in the Product Reliability Engineering (PRE) Organization of VISA. The PRE System Analyst is responsible for providing support to critical highly available applications under Value Added Services. The incumbent will be responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, detecting problems, performing root cause analysis, identifying and implementing permanent solutions. The incumbent will be expected to interact with Systems, Database personnel, Engineering, Product Development, Clients, Risk and various groups within Technology. The incumbent will participate in capacity planning and design reviews to identify design gaps in supportability and resiliency. There will also be opportunities to bring creative curiosity and technology experience to work every day and help build dashboards, audits, alerts, and solutions.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications•2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)Preferred Qualifications3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)•Skills and experience with Containers, Kubernetes, and Docker.•Skills and experience with Hadoop and Kafka.•Skills and experience with Linux and UNIX.•Experience with Hazelcast.•Experience in working with relational and NoSQL databases.•Ability to understand and write complex Database queries.•Skills and experience with Java, J2EE and scripting technologies.•Ability to analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, garbage collection and other related JVM components.•Working knowledge of production support processes such as incident/change/problem management, call triaging, escalation procedures using tools such as Service Now.•Strong execution and analytical abilities. Ability to solve complex production problems.•Dynamic, hard-working, and ambitious individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.•Prior working experience with payment and transaction domains is advantageous.Additional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
