Now Hiring: Site Safety & Health Officers (SSHOs) – Debris Removal Project (LA County, CA)

iParametrics is seeking experienced Site Safety & Health Officers (SSHOs) to support a large-scale debris removal project in Los Angeles County, CA. If you have a strong background in construction safety, disaster response, and OSHA compliance, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact in post-disaster recovery efforts while ensuring safety and compliance on critical infrastructure projects.
Your Role – Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO):
As an SSHO, you will be responsible for overseeing site safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and mitigating hazards throughout the debris removal and recovery operations.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and project-specific regulations
✅ Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions
✅ Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and other safety documentation
✅ Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety
✅ Monitor contractor and workforce compliance with all safety standards
✅ Investigate incidents, near misses, and potential hazards while recommending corrective actions
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ 5+ years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction, disaster recovery, or debris removal projects
✔️ Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
✔️ OSHA 30 certification (required)
✔️ EM 381-1 certification (complete or willingness to complete)
✔️ CPR/First Aid Certification ()
✔️ Strong ability to communicate safety expectations and enforce compliance
✔️ Prior experience on federal, state, or municipal projects ()
