Site Services Engineer - Electrician
Location: Bakkavor Meals Bo’ness
Shift: Monday - Friday 08.00 - 16.30
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on experience.

About Us
Our Bakkavor business in Bo’ness, based near Falkirk, specialises in the production of fresh, high quality salad products working primarily with premium retailers. To give a feel for the scale of manufacturing in Bo’ness we produce over 70million salad based meals and side dishes from our 2 manufacturing facilities employing over 1200 people in the town.
Our production lines are non-stop, 24/7. Whether you’ve an electrical or mechanical bias, you’ll provide a full maintenance engineering service to the business. You’ll act fast, find solutions and make sure our equipment is always 100% available and reliable. Resulting in safe and efficient production on time, every time.
The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Services Engineer to join our expanding team and site.
Our Site Service Engineers work as part of a team or standalone, depending on the task. The role reports to Compliance and Site Services Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare for estate maintenance work.
Conduct planned maintenance of site services assets.
Respond to breakdowns of site services assets. Conduct reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviation.
Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) on site services assets, action as required.
Contribute to technical performance reviews in collaboration with other functions and stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise site services assets or processes. For example, participate in failure investigations to ensure process effectiveness and to contribute to and implement practical engineering solutions for efficiency and profitability.
Essential Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
Completed electrical apprenticeship (NVQ level 3 / 4 or city & guilds).
Current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations.
Inspection and testing of electrical installations. (City & Guilds 2391).
Application of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and procedures.
Electrical Inspection and testing.
Fault finding: Electrical systems.
Planning works and writing reports; completion of inspection and testing certification.
Restore asset after works.
Working knowledge of wiring regulations.
Electrical principals, safety & control circuits, motors, motor control circuits.
Spare parts management.
Reading and adhering to site SOPs
Advantageous Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge
High Voltage Operational Safety (City & Guilds 9848-51)
PAT (City & Guilds 2377).
IOSH Managing Safely.
Identify faults on electrical systems (mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatic fault finding experience)
