We are looking for a highly skilled Solar Project Procurement Specialist with expertise in sourcing materials, managing procurement logistics, and working with electrical plans to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of solar project components. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical plansets, material takeoffs, and supplier negotiations.

  1. Responsibilities:

    • Electrical Plans Review: Work closely with project engineers to review electrical plans and calculate material takeoffs based on the scope of work.
    • Supplier Sourcing: Research, select, and negotiate with suppliers for solar equipment and materials, ensuring the best pricing and quality.
    • Cost Estimation: Estimate material costs and ensure procurement stays within budget while meeting project specifications.
    • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate deliveries, track shipments, and manage inventory to ensure timely delivery to project sites.
    • Project Coordination: Communicate with internal project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes and resolve any delivery issues.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, delivery schedules, and any changes to the project scope.
  2. Required Skills and Experience:

    • In-depth knowledge of solar electrical plansets and material takeoff processes.
    • Experience in procurement and sourcing within the solar or electrical industries.
    • Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, including the management of deliveries and inventory.
    • Ability to estimate material costs based on electrical specifications and project requirements.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and project management tools.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Prior experience in managing supplier relationships, including evaluating and selecting vendors for projects.
  3. Qualifications:

    • Certification in electrical engineering or a related field (or experience in electrical design).
    • Experience with commercial or large-scale solar projects.
    • Familiarity with local or regional solar equipment suppliers.
