Job Summary
You are involved with Solar Operations & Maintenance, or are a residential or small commercial solar installer, foreman, or electrician who cares about the performance of renewable energy assets. You are interested in a career in Solar Operations and Maintenance. You are technically proficient, highly motivated, and enthusiastic about solar. You can manage a portfolio of solar assets, monitoring, diagnosing performance and dispatching internal and third-party maintenance crews from our office. You live in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

Our team is lean (currently 14 professionals), and we are looking for hard-working self-starters. The Solar O&M Manager will report directly to the Director of Construction and O&M and will work closely with the COO and Asset Management team in managing the performance of our growing fleet of solar systems.
Responsibilities
System performance monitoring and dispatch:
- Monitor the solar systems we own and manage proactively, identifying underperforming systems and prioritizing systems repairs and optimization that will create the highest benefit relative to cost.
- Dispatch various maintenance personnel to repair and optimize the systems you identify.
- Prepare and implement plant operating and maintenance procedures ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local requirements.
- Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise.
System maintenance:
- Schedule and dispatch maintenance personnel to systems for routine and ad-hoc maintenance.
- Assist third-party maintenance providers from time to time in diagnosing complex issues.
- Respond to site emergencies, including outside of normal working hours, according to safety policies and procedures promptly and efficiently.
- In sone cases, procure parts, materials, services, and support resolution of technical issues when our third-party providers are unable to directly.
Customer service:
- Redball owns systems directly, but those systems exist on the homes and businesses of others. We only hire employees who can communicate with these stakeholders clearly and respectfully such that our maintenance can be performed as unobtrusively as possible.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of solar electric systems, encompassing PV modules, inverters, racking, and other components
- Proficient troubleshooting abilities with a commitment to timely issue resolution
- Familiarity with SolarEdge or Enphase platforms, or any other PV monitoring tools
- Understanding of basic electrical concepts with the ability to remote monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot and maintain a fleet of PV assets
- Candidates shall be located in the Washington, DC Metro Area

- Starting salary is in the 60-80k per year range, commensurate with your experience and qualifications, with a 20% annual performance bonus potential
