About this role You will be joining the brand-new Platforms team within Enterprise Digital whose goal is to make life for the development teams in other parts of the business easier by providing a set of low friction, fully managed cloud capabilities and abstracting these complexities away from the developer –allowing them to focus on code and not infrastructure. As a member of the Platforms team, you will have the ability to shape the direction that we take by reimagining productivity by developing new and improving existing systems and processes. It will be your responsibility to maintain the availability and reliability of critical platform services and applications, ensuring they meet the requirements of developers and the business. You'll have the following responsibilities Collaborate with other engineers and software development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems. Design and improve existing CI/CD processes and pipelines Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small-scale systems using various release strategies (blue/green, canary etc) Automate tools to monitor system health and reliability to support business process requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. Communicate status and risks to the various stakeholders. Help automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Support our agile methods and ambition to grow our SRE capabilities. You'll have the following skills & experience 3+ years experience working in a similar technology role Programming/scripting experience using at least two of the following languages: Java, C# Understanding of CI/CD pipelines with various release strategies (Blue/Green, Canary etc) Automation process Hands-on experience with identifying and automating manual processes as well as debugging and optimising code Experience identifying key metrics and implementing tools to monitor these.
