Sr. Dry Etching Process Engineer [F/M/X]

Job description About the role:We are looking for an experienced Senior Dry Etching Process Engineer to actively join the dry etching engineering cluster. In this role, you will work on the development of dry etching processes for both internal and external customers. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Sales, Product Engineers, other process engineers, and Operators/Technicians.Your responsibilities:- You manage (almost) all dry etching equipment in the cleanroom, ensuring stable and well-functioning processes.- Develop and implement (new) dry etching processes, primarily within a project context.- Achieve project objectives by making technological choices and using relevant methods and tools.- Advise clients on etching process choices and identify improvement opportunities within your area of expertise.- Assess the possibility of reusing existing knowledge or introducing new developments within the cluster.- Continuously develop your knowledge by maintaining contacts inside and outside the department, including with suppliers and knowledge institutes.- Participate in multidisciplinary teams for the acquisition of new equipment; contribute to the specifications and acceptance protocols.- Coach engineers and technicians.- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and colleagues.- Comply with ESH policies, rules, and regulations.Your profile:- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the exact sciences.- Experience in process engineering & development.- Experience working in or leading project teams within a technological area.- In-depth knowledge of dry etching technology used for thin-film processing.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.- Ability to combine physical and chemical knowledge to understand complex plasma etching processes and their interaction with thin films.- Knowledge of fundamental tools such as DOE, SPC, FMEA, problem-solving, and teamwork.- A pragmatic, creative, and flexible attitude with a result-oriented mentality.- Excellent communication skills, with a professional level of written and verbal communication in English.What we offer:- A challenging role in a dynamic environment with room for personal development.- Opportunities to collaborate with leading experts in the field.- An environment where innovation and technological progress are key.Amaris Consulting is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
