Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative electrical power systems for drones, including generators, alternators, and energy storage solutions.
- Optimize the integration of electrical power systems into drone platforms, ensuring efficient energy delivery and maximizing flight time.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, adhering to industry standards and best practices for both drone technology and electrical power .
- Conduct in-depth feasibility studies and technical evaluations to inform design decisions and optimize performance, considering factors such as weight, efficiency, and reliability.
- Stay at the forefront of advancements in both drone technology and electrical power , researching and exploring emerging trends and innovations.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, to ensure design requirements are met and project timelines are adhered to.
- Oversee the testing and validation of designed electrical power systems, analyzing results and making necessary modifications to enhance performance and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing electrical power equipment, with a strong focus on generators, alternators, and house electrical generators.
- Proven track record in research and development, demonstrating a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by drone technology.
- Expertise in designing and analyzing electrical power systems for drones, considering factors such as weight, efficiency, power output, and reliability.
- Proficiency in CAD software (specifically Inventor) to create precise and detailed designs for drone components and electrical systems.
- Experience in the physical assembly and testing of electrical power equipment, with a focus on applications for drones.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify and overcome engineering challenges specific to the drone industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders across various disciplines.
- A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
